Angel Pharmaceuticals Completes Batch Packaging of Oral ITK Inhibitor CPI-818, Soon to Be Used in Clinical Trials

Angel Pharmaceuticals' oral CPI-818, the world's first ITK inhibitor to enter clinical development, received clinical trial approval from the NMPA Center for Drug Evaluation in October and has now completed batch packaging this month, and will soon be applied in clinical trials.

CPI-818 is a potent inhibitor of ITK kinase, intended for the treatment of relapsed/refractory T-cell lymphomas. In first-in-human clinical trials conducted in the United States, South Korea, and Australia, it has already demonstrated clear efficacy and favorable safety and tolerability. As of February 17, 2021, a total of 25 patients worldwide (16 in the dose-escalation phase and 9 in the expansion phase) had received CPI-818 treatment. Preliminary clinical data suggest that CPI-818 has a good safety and tolerability profile.

Angel Pharmaceuticals, together with leading lymphoma experts in China, will fully advance the progress of CPI-818 clinical trials and strive to obtain market approval in China as soon as possible, bringing hope to numerous patients.
